Henrietta Marie Martinson, 1904-1921

Henrietta Marie Martinson, the seventeen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Martinson of Lincoln township passed away on Thursday, October 6, after an illness of three weeks. Her death was caused from tubercular meningitis. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Carlson, pastor of the Danish Lutheran church, at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, at the Martinson residence and at three o'clock at the church in Royal. Interment was made in Willow Creek cemetery.

Henrietta Martinson was born in Spencer a little over seventeen years ago and made her home here for a year and a half. She then moved with her parents to Broomfield, Colorado, where she lived ten years. Five and a half years ago she moved back to this county and had been living on a farm near Royal since that time. She was a freshman in the Royal high school at the time she was taken ill.

Besides her grief stricken parents she is survived by a sister, Miss Bernice Martinson, who is a student at the Spencer high school, and two brothers, Perry aged nineteen, and Raynor, aged ten. She is also survived by a number of uncles and aunts living in this vicinity among them, Mrs. Mary Larsson of Spencer, A. P. Mathiesen of Rossie, Andrew Mathisen of Royal, Carl Mathiesen of Melvin, Thomas Mathiesen of Graettinger, and Fred Martinson of Windom, Minnesota.
