Henry Dose Passes Away at Cherokee
Henry Dose, resident here for about 50 years, passed away at the state hospital in Cherokee Wednesday where he had been a patient for about a year. The cause of death was cerebral edema. He was 80 years of age.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Cobb funeral chapel with Rev. B. J. Trickey officiating. Interment was In Riverside cemetery.
Mr. Dose, who had been a patient at the county farm about six months prior to his removal to Cherokee, was a familiar character about town. He never married, and provided his livelihood by doing odd jobs such as screen repairing, etc. He has a brother, Jacob Dose, 70, at the county farm, and a nephew, Henry Workmister of Milford. He was born in Wisconsin, but other information concerning his life is not available.
