Cornelia Tatman Johnson, 1898-1914

Cornelia B. Tatman was born at Watsaka, Ill., June 22, 1879. On June 4, 1898, she was married to William H. Johnson. For some time they made their home in Illinois. Four years ago the family moved to Clay county and settled on a farm wo miles this side of Everly, which has since been their home. Mrs. Johnson died at her home Saturday, August 8th. She leaves one daughter and three sons, the youngest being only two weeks old. A short service was held at the home near Everly after which the body was taken to Watsaka for burial, accompanied by the family and Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Florence Tatman. Mrs. Tatman will care for the youngest child, taking him with her to Tipton, Indiana. Mrs. Johnson has been a devoted Christian for many years and was a valued worker in the church at Everly.
