Mrs. Homer Wise Dies

Word has been received in Spencer of the death of Mrs. Homer Wise at her home in Webster City. With her husband she homesteaded near Fostoria and in about 1901 they moved to Spencer. A few years later Mr. Wise passed away. Their son, Harley Wise, was at one time in partnership with E.L. Dickey and it was then that he invented Wise's root beer. Mr. Wise married a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schoneman of Spencer. The funeral services were held at Webster City yesterday and that evening the body arrived in Spencer. Today she will be taken to Milford for burial, where she will be laid to rest in the lot by her husband.
