He was a very bright and energetic young man, and one who had the respect of all. He was to have been married last December to Miss Bonefield, a teacher in the Summit township schools.

He was baptised and confirmed in the German Lutheran church and was active in the work of the church and all of its organizations.

The funeral was held at the home of his parents Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, the services being conducted by the, pastor of the German Lutheran church of Spencer, Rev. Grummer, and was attended by a large circle of relatives and friends who assembled to pay their last respects to their departed friend. The interment was in Summit township cemetery.
