Rev. Houghtelin Dead

Word was received in Spencer late last evening announcing the death of Rev. D. M. Hougtelin at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, after a very short illness of typhoid fever.

Rev. Houghtelin will be best remembered by Spencer people as the young man that married Miss Edith Archer a little over a year ago. For some time they made their headquarters in Spencer, but for some time have been living In Des Moines. Mr. Houghtelin was one of the field agents for the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was a very fine man, well educated, and had a bright future before him.

Mrs. C. T. Archer and daughter, Miss Olive, go to Des Moines this afternoon to attend the funeral, which will likely be held in that city.
