Connie Alger passed away, January 23, 2009, at the age of 87. She was a resident of Spencer, Iowa, for the past 18 years.

Connie was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Ross and Josephine Kleinheinz on July 6, 1921. She married Craig Foss Hanson, also of Sioux Falls, on September 9, 1943, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Craig and Connie had four children: Diane King (Wendell), Susan Anderson, Lynne Holliday and Carter Hanson (Gail).

Besides being survived by four children, Connie is survived by her sister Joyce Hyzer of Des Moines, Iowa, and her 7 grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Hanson; second husband, Orrin Alger, and her sister, Barbara Parker Rud.
