S. S. WYATT DIES AT DICKENS IN HIS EIGHTY-FOURTH YEAR
This community mourns the death of one of its well known residents, Samuel Servington Wyatt, who died at his home in Dickens on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock following a short illness, at the age of eighty-four years.
The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church. The services will be in charge of Rev. Long and burial will be made in the Dickens cemetery.
Deceased was born at Plymouth, England, on May 21, 1834, and came to America in 1854 and settled in the state of New York. He was one of a family of thirteen children, all of whom preceded him in death.
In 1856 he moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where on December 12, 1873 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Broon. To this union was born one son, George Elmer, who died a few days ago in Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt came to Clay county in 1891 and located on a farm near Dickens, where they resided until a few years ago, when they moved to Dickens, which place has since been their home.
In his early boyhood Mr. Wyatt united with the Church of England and always lived an honest upright life. He was held in high regard by his friends and neighbors, whose sincere sympathy goes out to his sorrowing widow in the loss of both husband and son.
