Funeral services for Charlotte (Lottie) Metcalf, 84, of Spencer were held Saturday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus, with the Rev. Ronald Meyer officiating. Burial was at the Marcus and Amherst Cemetery. She died Thursday at Longhouse Nursing Home.

Mrs. Metcalf had lived in Spencer since 1969, coming from Marcus. She had lived most of her life on a farm in Marcus, where she lived with her husband Chelsea, whom she married in 1912 in Cherokee.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Brockman of Paulina and Helen Meyer of Spencer; one sister, Martha Bauer; one brother, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Glenn.

Bearers were Charles Brockman, Donald Brockman, Kenneth Meyer, Steven Meyer, James Metcalf and Robert Metcalf.

The organist was Mrs. Charles Brockman and Charles Brockman was the soloist.
