Rose Dorcas Merritt, 1875-1926

Mrs. Rose Grace Merritt died on Tuesday, March 9, 1926, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Dorcas, 761 East Second street. Death was due to anemia.

Mrs. Merritt was born October 19, 1875, at Tipton, Ia., and was 50 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age of her passing. She came to this county with her parents in 1901. On March 14, 1907 she was united in marriage to A. H. Merritt of Spencer. No children were born to this union.

She is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Dorcas, and a brother, Roy F. Dorcas, of Lowry City, Mo.

Mrs. Merritt was a member of the Seven Day Advent church. She was a woman of pleasing personality and was a friend to all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Cobb Funeral home at two o'clock and interment will be made in Riverside cemetery.
