David W. Glover, 1860-1925

Mr. David Walker Glover died at his home at Dickens, Iowa, Tuesday, January 6, 1925, at the age of sixty-four years, eight months and five days. He was born at Kensington;
Prince Edward Island, May 1, 1860. When he was twenty-two years old, he came to the United States, settling in Illinois.

Five years later on Independence day July 4, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Hines. Five children were born to this union, namely: Guy of Dickens, Iowa; Ray and Roy of Terril, Iowa; May Wingston of Terril;
and Lotte, living at home in Dickens. Besides these five children and his wife, he leaves two brothers, Alvin of Prince Edward Island and Robert of Calgary, Canada, and four sisters, Fannie and Josie of Lynn, Massachusetts, Mary of New York and Eva of Calgary, Canada.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church of Dickens at two o'clock Thursday in charge of the Rev. Gary, who left with the sad company of friends and relatives the comforting thought of the noble poem, "Crossing The Bar". Burial was in the Dickens cemetery.
