Mrs. W.F. Locke of Hampton, Iowa, a former well known resident of this city and mother of Mrs. Virgil McDowell of East Third street, Spencer, died Tuesday morning at seven o'clock in the hospital at Hampton, Iowa, where she had been for a few weeks receiving treatment. Death was from paralysis, from which she suffered for several weeks.

The deceased had been in Hollywood, California, spending last winter and this summer, but after the death of her mother, a few weeks ago, she returned to Hampton, Iowa.

Funeral services were yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, at Hampton, Iowa, where interment was made.

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil McDowell went to Hampton Tuesday upon receiving word of her death. A number of Spencer friends drove there yesterday for the services.
