Carl Gustaf Anderson was born near Linkoping, Sweden, April 30, 1854, and died at his home near Spencer at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 5 days.
When thirty years of age he came from Sweden to America and located at Spencer, Iowa. About one year later, June 12, 1885, he was united in marriage to Anna Miltilda Gustafson and commenced farming on the farm where they now live.
God blessed their home with five children, two sons and three daughters.
When 15 years of age he united with the Lutheran church in Sweden and when 31 years old united with
Harmony Congregational church where he remained a faithful member until he was called from the church militant to the church triumphant.He was a faithful and loving husband and father, a kind friend and a good neighbor, and leaves a loving wife, five children, Walter W., Mrs. H.
Brigham, Emma C., Nellie M., and Elmer H.One brother, Nels Anderson of near Spencer, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the home, conducted by Rev. C. E. Waudby and interment made in Rose Hill cemetery.
