Elizabeth Flindt, 94, Spencer, died Monday, March 30, 1998, at the Hilltop Care Center, Spirit Lake.

Private graveside services will be held today at Riverside cemetery, Spencer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Elizabeth Alice Flindt, the daughter of Everett and Besse Castille Clark, was born May 5, 1903 in Indianola. Her childhood years were spent in Winterset, where she graduated from Winterset High School. She continued her education at Drake University, Des Moines, and following graduation she taught in Nevada and Spencer.

She married William Flindt on July 5, 1929, in Des Moines. They made their home in Spencer and spent their summers at West Okoboji. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church, Spencer.

Mrs. Flindt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother and a grandson.

She is survived by one daughter, Gretchen Snider and her husband Frank, of Okoboji; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
