Marion A. Nichols was born in German [sic] in 1839, was married in 1873 to Mary Tracey. They came to America with their family 30 years ago and made their home at Norway, Michigan. To them were born seven(?) children, five sons and three daughters, only three sons of which survive, J. H. of Spencer, Frank of Norway, Michigan and Carl of Ottawa, Illinois. The wife and mother died 28 years ago. The past ten years the father had made his home with his son J. H.. coming with him to Spencer four years ago. He had been in failing health for several months and answered the heavenly summons Saturday evening. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. A. Hunt from the Sacred Heart church Monday forenoon and interment made in Riverside.
