William Fulton, 1833-1909

William Fulton was born near Belfast, Ireland. January 21, 1833, being of Scotch Irish descent. When a child he resided in New York where he remained until 1856, when he located in Waukegan, Illinois, where he was united in marriage in 1857 to Miss Elizabeth Jenkinson. Six years ago he and his good wife came to Clay county to reside with their son, Albert, at whose home he passed away November 21, 1909. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Fulton celebrated their golden wedding at the old home in Waukegan. The entire family, consisting of six sons and three daughters and their families were present.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, November 23, conducted by Dr. W.D. Morrow.

Besides the children, Mrs. Wm. Hayden, Cossopolis, Mich., Mrs. Fred Shober, Waukegan, Illinois; Mrs. A.W. Groth, Spencer, Iowa; Joseph, Kansas City, Missouri; William, Chicago; Albert, Spencer, Iowa; John Robert and Frank, of Waukegan, there were present at the funeral other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. W. Wright, Waukegan; Mr. and Mrs. H. Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. F. Langham, Excelsior, Minnesota, and Ada Fulton, of Kansas City, Missouri.
