Miss Jane Elder, youngest daughter of Jas. Elder, residing on section 3, Sioux Township, died Friday, after an illness of two weeks of complications following measles.

Death of Jane Elder

The death angel entered the family of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Elder last Thursday and removed from the midst of a hitherto unbroken family their youngest daughter, Jane, a girl just entering woman's estate, being in her sixteenth year. Her death was caused by complications following the measles, she being ill about ten days and only succumbed after a brave struggle for life. Jane Elder was born on the farm in Sioux township, Nov. 7th, 1888, and was the fifth daughter in a family of seven. The funeral was held at the home Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. E.E. Day officiating. Interment was made at Riverside cemetery. The heartbroken family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their great bereavement.
