Services:Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Warner Chapel with Rev. Tonna Parsons officiating. Burial will take place at the Dickens Cemetery in Dickens, Iowa.

Visitation:Visitation will begin on Monday at 5:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.

Irene K. Heien, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Henderson) Hargrave was born October 11, 1909, in Dickens, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Gillett Grove where she attended school graduating from Gillett Grove High School. After graduation, Irene attended cosmetology courses in Sioux City, Iowa.

On October 15, 1936, Irene married Jacob Heien in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Following their marriage, they farmed near Greenville and moved to a farm near Gillett Grove, IA, in 1941. In 1961, they moved to Bagdad, AZ until 1971 when they moved back to Spencer, Iowa.

On June 1, 2006, Irene passed away in O’Neill, Nebraska, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Don Hargrave; one sister, Elizabeth Taylor; and one grandchild, Ronald Heien.

She is survived by three sons: Gerald Heien and his wife Barbara Sue, of O’Neill, Nebraska, David Heien and his wife Margaret, of Spencer, Nebraska, Thomas Heien and his wife Donna, of Sequim, WA; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
