After an illness of over a year, Mrs. T. H. Scott of Dickens died at her home on May 5. Mrs. Scott has been a resident of Dickens for many years and is very well known in Dickens and Sioux township.

Mary Elizabeth Hargrave was born in Sioux township on August 19, 1871, and grew to womanhood there. She was united in marriage in her early girlhood to Truman H. Scott of Dickens and became the mother of nine children, who with the husband, survive her. The children are: Everett, Mrs. Maude Thompson, Ray, Carl, Mrs. Iola Hanna, Lyla, Alice and Charlotte, all of whom live in or near Dickens.

The funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon form the Methodist church at Dickens and were in charge of the Rev. Arthur Dyson, pastor of that church. Internment was made in the Dickens cemetery.
