Two of Triplets Die Shortly After Their Birth Friday
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fischer accompanied Mr. Fischer's two brothers, Mr. Dave Fischer and Mr. Dean Fischer of Lake Park, to Spencer Saturday afternoon, where the group attended graveside services for Denise and Debra Johnson, infant daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Johnson of Spencer. The babies were two of the triplets daughters born to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson last Friday, December 1. The daughters were named Denise, Debra and Dawn.
One child passed away Friday afternoon and one during the night on Friday. Dawn, is the surviving daughter and weighed one pound, eleven ounces at birth and is being kept in the incubator at the Spencer Municipal Hospital, but seems to be doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are also the parents of an older daughter, ten months of age.
A family service for the deceased daughters, was held at the Warner Funeral Home, Saturday and graveside services were held at three o'clock p.m. in the Northlawn Cemetery near Spencer where interment was made.
Mrs. Johnson, mother of the triplets, is a niece of Mr. Ted Fischer.
