Funeral for Mrs. Henry (Mabel J.) Gross, 67, will be 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Rev. Robert Joynt will officiate and burial will be at Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Gross died Friday afternoon [July 29, 1966] at her farm home on RFD 1, Spencer.

Pallbearers for the rites will be Raymond Gross, Everett Maurer. Lowell Carson, Floyd Fiedler, Russell Hoberg and Merrill Mohr.

Mrs. Gross was a lifetime member of the Clay County area. She was born Dec. 13, 1898, on a farm near Royal, the daughter of Hans and Sophia Peterson. Prior to her marriage to Henry Gross at Sutherland in 1919, she taught in the rural schools in the Royal community. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society.

She is survived by her widower, Henry; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Louise) Zieman of Royal; one sister, Mrs. Fred Carlson of Spencer, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. Her parents, one daughter and two brothers preceded.

Rosary will be 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lightle-Hayes Funeral Home. Interment in Riverside cemetery.
