Services for Kenneth M. Schaff, 73, of Murray, who died Saturday, December 17, 1988 at his home, were held Tuesday, December 20 at the Church of Christ in Murray. The Rev. Marty Burgus officiated, with the interment in Union Cemetery.

Mr. Schaff was born February 19, 1915 in Clarke County, the son of John and Annie Smull Schaff.

He married Freda Hess December 24, 1939 at Bethany, Missouri. He retired from mechanic work in 1978. He was also employed as a truck driver and musician.

Mr. Schaff was an accomplished fiddle player and also played banjo, guitar and mandolin.

Survivors include his wife, Freda; four sons, John and wife, Sylvia, of Murray, Jack and wife, Karen, of Murray, Jerry and wife, Sandra, Lincoln, Nebraska, Larry and wife, Peggy of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother, Lyle and Ernest.
