Agnes Louise LaChance Porrazzo, daughter of Alvah LaChance and Mary Humphrey LaChance, was born February 19, 1927 in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She passed from this life on April 24, 2002 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 75 years.
Agnes grew up in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She married Michael Alexander Porrazzo on July 19, 1974 in Stephentown, New York. Agnes had worked in the food service industry for several years. Before Mike and Agnes moved to Osceola, Iowa in 1975, she had worked for Leo's restaurant in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She worked for the Family Table, Champlins and Mallots restaurants in Osceola. Mike preceded Agnes in death in 1977.
Agnes enjoyed going to the Osceola Senior Center and spending time with her friends. She volunteered at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music and being with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael Alexander Porrazzo in 1977, brother, Louis LaChance and great granddaughter Lacy Renee Dunn.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Sandra Nugent of Des Moines, Iowa, Joanne Dunn of Sigourney, Iowa and Tonya Harger of Iowa City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, Patricia, Joseph, Tracy, Samuel, Robert, Stephen, Brian, Robin, Christopher, Donald, John-David, and Pedro; 21 great grandchildren, brothers, John LaChance of Detroit, Michigan and Robert LaChance of Lenox, Massachusetts; sisters, Anna LaFave of Williamstown, Massachusetts, Frances Townsend of Longmeadow, Massachusetts and Mary Neilson of Naples, Florida as well and other relatives and a host of friends.
