Ogal Iris Herron, daughter of Elias Touet and Belle Reed Touet, was born in Clarke County, Iowa on July 18, 1891, and departed this life at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on November 15, 1979, at the age of 88 years, three months, and 28 days.

She received her education in the Clarke County Schools. On March 6, 1912, she was united in marriage to William H. Herron in Clarke County, Iowa. To this union four children were born.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Osceola.

She is survived by two daughters, Ardis Swain and husband, W.K. of Emmetsburg, Iowa; Ruth Lauser and husband, George of Lago Vista, Texas; two sons, Ralph Herron and wife, Janice, of Florence, Missouri; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one brother, W.E. Touet and wife Grace of Osceola, Iowa; three sisters in law, Ruby Herron of Osceola, Mae Touet of Osceola, and Helen Herron of Des Moines, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1973, three sisters, Lillie McKeever, Hazel Swan, Eva Ries, and one brother George Touet.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 19, 1979, at 10 a.m. at the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with Rev. Richard Eis of the United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
