Drucilla Christina Naylor was born Dec. 11, 1844 in Virginia. She died September 9, 1917 at the home of her daughter, Mr. Rachel Bailey, in College View, Neb.

In 1856 she moved with her parents to Clark County, Iowa, which was her home until the time of her death. In 1865 she was united in marriage to Jonathan McGee. To this union were born four children, Harvey E., Eva A., Rachel E. and Ruby Dell, all of whom survive their mother.

In early girlhood she was converted, and was baptized by Elder Hull; and in 1887 she united with the Seventh-day Adventist church at Osceola, Iowa. She lived a devoted Christian life. Her interests were centered in her family and Church. Her last thoughts were that her family might be reunited in the new earth. Those who knew her best loved her most.

For about four years she had been in poor health. Two weeks before her death she came to College View to visit her daughters and with the hope that the change might benefit her health. About a week after coming, she began to grow rapidly worse and her husband and son were called to her bedside. Everything that loving hands and medical skill could do was done but God saw best to let her rest for a while, and she quietly fell asleep surrounded by her children.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, four children, four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Besides the immediate family other relatives present at the funeral were R. K. McGee and wife, Walter McGee and wife of Indianola, Iowa, and Will McGee of Jamison, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted at the Seventh-day Adventist church at Osceola, Iowa by Elder G.W. White of Council Bluffs. Interment was made in Maple Hill Cemetery.
