Ethel Cannon.

Ethel Cannon was born December 12, 1889, near Weldon, Iowa, and died in Mercy Hospital in Des Moines September 28, 1910, after an illness of two months.

She was the eldest child of J. A. and Della Cannon, her mother dying when she was but ten years old. She leaves three brothers and one sister. Her grandparents, B. F. Anderson and wife who reside at Woodburn and a number of other relatives and friends who deeply mourn their loss.

She had been educated in music and had taught three terms of school in this county. the past year she has had employment in Des Moines at which place she was taken sick.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Woodburn, Friday, September 30, the services being conducted by Rev. L. B. Carpenter of Osceola. Interment in the Woodburn cemetery.

Those attending the funeral from a distance were: J. H. Jamison and wife, T. J. Anderson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewis and Mrs. R. L. Eggleston of Osceola; Dr. A. C. Hutchins of Des Moines and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson of Chariton.
