Sunday Funeral
For P. Trumbo

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 22, for Paul Trumbo, 71, who died at his home in Woodburn on Friday, March 20. The Rev. John McCallum conducted to 2 p.m. service from the Webster Funeral Home with interment in the Woodburn Cemetery.

Paul Lafayette Trumbo was born October 12, 1898, in Liberty, Iowa, son of George Trumbo and Lillie Westbrook Trumbo. He attended schools in Clarke county prior to his marriage to Ethel Irene Love in Knoxville on December 31, 1928. Seven children were born to this union. He was a railroad employee for many years and lived at Woodburn since 1933. He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Woodburn; three sons, Carl Trumbo and wife, Mary of Des Moines, Gene Trumbo and wife, Joan of Carlisle, Robert Trumbo and wife Karen of Creston; three daughters, Betty Palmer and husband Danny of Des Moines, Helen Probasco and husband John of Des Moines and Pauline Burdess of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Grabou of Knoxville; one brother, Vern Trumbo and wife, Ruth of Burlington and 21 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Shirley; two sisters and one brother.
