Grace Mae Watsek, daughter of Sherman and Flora Hawkins Stark, was born Oct. 24, 1886, at Chariton and passed away Sunday, April 10 at the Falls City, Nebr. Hospital. She was 73 years, five months and 17 days of age.
Funeral services were held April 13 in the Stella Community church with Rev. Waldo Janzen officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Woodburn on April 14.
She grew up and attended public school in Chariton.
In November of 1904 she was united in marriage to Edward A. Blanchard. During their years together they made their home at Woodburn, Iowa. One daughter Edith was born to this union. Mr. Blanchard died in 1940.
In 1943 she was united in marriage to William Watsek at Falls City, Nebraska. Since their marriage they have farmed near Stella.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
Surviving are are her husband, William Watsek of Stella; her daughter, Edith (Mrs. Frank Bullock, Lacrosse, Wisc); three step-children; 7 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Nathan Waldorf, of Lloydminister, Canada.
