Hubert Alden Price, 88, of Osceola died July 11, 2011, at the Afton Care Center.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiated.

Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church in Osceola.

Hubert Alden Price, son of Mary Frances (Camp) and Ernest Price Sr., was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Clarke County.

Hubert Received his education in Clarke County and was a lifetime farmer in Washington Township.

Before he began farming, he worked a brief time for R.E.C., setting the first electrical poles in Clarke County.

On Oct. 29, 1944, Hubert married Marian Christeen Stephenson.

Hubert is survived by his wife Marian of Osceola; daughters, Peggy Heaps of Osceola and Janice Reed of Los Angeles, Calif., grandchildren, Lori (husband Chris) Rossman of North Platte, Neb., Brandi (husband Bob) Fant of Kansas City, Mo., Darrin (wife Elizabeth) Reed of West Hills, Calif., Janelle (husband Kent) Morrison of Des Moines and Ryan Redman of St. Louis, Mo., great grandchildren, Montana Fant of Kansas City, Mo., Sophia Reed of West Hills, Calif., and Emily Morrison of Des Moines; sister Mary Erickson of Ankeny; many other relatives and friends.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Thelma Langlie, Ernest Price, Jr., Maxine Luce and Robert K. Price and daughter Sherryl Redman.
