Saturday Service
For Frank Carson

Frank Carson, 89, died at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Thursday, March 20. Services were held from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Saturday, March 22, with Rev. Densmore Peterson of Woodburn Christian Church officiating at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment was in Ottawa Cemetery, Ottawa.

Frank Carson, was born February 8, 1891, in Clarke County, Iowa, son of Ephraim Carson and Sarah Clark Carson. He attended schools in Clarke County and on February 21, 1912, was married to Elizabeth Porterfield in Clarke County. Six children were born to this union. He and his wife, Elizabeth celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in February of this year.

He was a member of the United Brethren Church of Ottawa.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Osceola, daughter, Mrs. Edith Thornton and husband, Russell of Osceola, daughter, Mrs. Corda Canney and Husband, Donald of Osceola, daughter, Mrs. Bernice Page of Osceola, son, Harold Carson and wife, Wilma of Woodburn, son, Donald Carson and wife Frances of Leon, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter in infancy, one granddaughter, one sister, Almeda Heston, four brothers, Fred, Jeff, Perry, and Bert Carson, one half brother, Schuyler Clark and one son-in-law, John Page.
