--Mr. John A. Waugh, who was familiarly known in Clarke county as "Uncle John" Waugh, father of Robert Waugh, died September 14th at the home of his youngest daughter, Mary, in Bates county, Missouri, at the advanced age of 82 years. Mr. Waugh was born in Orange county, West Virginia, in 1814. His wife died in 1861, and ten years after her death he came to Clarke county, Iowa. He was an excellent man, highly respected by those who knew him, and his earnest friends among DEMOCRAT readers will regret to hear of his demise.
