Funeral services were held from Watts Lindsey funeral home in Murray Saturday afternoon for Maude E. Warren, 87, who died at Clarke County Hospital on Wednesday, May 13.

Mrs. Warren was born October 23, 1893, the daughter of Louie H. and Mary Little Browns, and received her education in the Clarke County schools system.

She was married in Osceola on May 6, 1914 to the late Herbert Warren, and the couple lived in Clarke County until moving to south of Lorimor in 1939.

They had eight children, six of whom survive; Mrs. Oma (Harry) Smith and Mrs. Opal Thompson of Osceola, Carl Warren of Mechanicsville, Donald Warren of Bennett, Dale Warren of Lorimor and Herbert Warren of Monks Corner, South Carolina.

She is also survived by three brothers, Carlie Browns of Emmett, Idaho, James Browns of Marshalltown, and Pearl Browns of Denver, Colorado; 30 grand children and 27 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Herbert, in 1950, her parents, one son, one daughter, two sisters, four brothers, and three grandchildren.

Services were in charge of the Rev. George Neal of Osceola Calvary Baptist Church, with interment in Murray cemetery. Her pallbearer group was made up entirely of grandsons.
