Died Thursday

Services for Olin W. Woods, 52,
Held At Woodburn Sunday

Olin Wayne Woods, 52, Woodburn, died at a hospital in Chariton Thursday. He had been a patient at the hospital for 52 days.

Woods was a mail carrier at Woodburn, an assessor and Jackson township trustee.

He is survived by his widow, the former Gretta Leeps of Osceola, and one son Stanley.

Services were held at the Woodburn Methodist church Sunday under the direction of the Forster Funeral service with Rev. Kohl officiating. Burial was in the Woodburn cemetery.

Olin Wayne Woods, oldest child of John and Emma Woods, was born in Clarke county, Iowa, Jan. 20, 1900, and died at the Yocom hospital in Chariton, July 3, 1952, at the age of 52 years, 5 months, 13 days.

He was married to Gretta Leeps March 25, 1928, and has made his home in the Woodburn vicinity since.

One son, Stanley, was born to this union.

He received his education in the Clarke county schools and latter went to business college in Grand Island, Nebr.

His chief interest was farming, but he has been rural mail carrier a number of years, Jackson assessor and township trustee.

His mother, father and one brother preceded him in death.

Those surviving are his wife, one son, five brothers, Harley who had made his home with him for nearly 25 years, Charles Harlan, Raymond, Johnny and Ernest; five sisters, Coryl Davenport, Carrie Wohllaib, Mary Bryant, Arlene Doss and Edna Kimzey.
