KENNETH EUGENE WRIGHT

Kenneth Eugene Wright, son of Kenneth and Mildred Miller Wright, was born June 5, 1927, at Libertyville, Ill. and died Dec. 7, 1995, at the Clarke County Hospital, Osceola. He was 68.

He attended school in Clarke County and served with U.S. Army during World War II. He married Mary Darlene Johnson on July 31, 1947, at Leon and the couple became the parents of two sons, Alan and Rick.

Mr. Wright was a lifelong resident of Clarke County in the Woodburn area where he farmed for 20 years and worked as a mechanic for 20 years before retiring in 1963. He was a member of the Herndon Oehlert American Legion Post at Woodburn.

His favorite pastime was enjoying his grandchildren and maybe to do a little fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Darlene in 1994, son, Alan Wright; sister, Mary Lou Mason and brother, Ronald Wright.

Mr. Wright is survived by his son, Rick Wright and his wife Cindy Wright, one brother Russell Dean Wright and his wife, Marie Wright of Humeston; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Services for Mr. Wright were graveside Dec. 9, at the Woodburn Cemetery with the Rev. Don Wright of Creston officiating. Casket bearers were Charles Livesay, Rex Marker, Raydean Boggs, Larry Coffman, Barry Wright and Dennis Smith.

Kale Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
