MRS. CHRISTINA ANDERSON DIES

Passes Away at Her Home In This
City, Aged 78 Years

Christina Anderson was born in Stockholm, Sweden, March 15, 1840, and died at her home in Osceola, Iowa, July 26, 1918, aged 78 years, 4 months and 11 days. The deceased came to this country when about 30 years of age, making her home Scarborough, Iowa. Then removed to Osceola 38 years ago, making this place her home since. The deceased was united in marriage to Mr. John Anderson in the old country. To this union twelve children were born, five of whom still live, three daughters and two sons. The companion of her youth passed to the great beyond in April, 1900. One son and the mother living in the home since the death of the husband and father. Mrs. Anderson gave her heart to the Lord an united with the Lutheran church which she remained a member until death. The deceased leaves to mourn the five children above mentioned, nine grand children and one great grand child, beside many friends. May the God of all comfort give grace to help in time of need.

The funeral services were held from the home at 2:00 p. m., Sunday, July 28th, conducted by Rev. J. C. Leonard of the Methodist Protestant church, assisted by C. J. Shaw of Omaha, Nebr. The body was then laid to rest in the beautiful Maple Hill cemetery there to await the resurrection morn.
