Mrs. I.A. Polly who has been an invalid for the past five or six years, passed away at her home last Friday. The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Christian church by the pastor, Rev. Park, interment followed in the Harrison Cemetery. The following obituary has been given us for publication.

Mrs. Isaac Polly (nee Wright) was born in Henry county, Iowa August 31, 1851, died in Whiting, Ia., August 27, 1909, aged 58 years, 11 months and 27 days. Her parents died when she was an infant and she was reared to womanhood by Mr. and Mrs. David Neff. She was married to Isaac A. Polly at Osceola, Iowa, September 3, 1868. To this union five children were born, four of whom are living.

In 1884 she moved to Huron, S. Dakota and in 1888 she came to Monona county, and into Whiting in 1898. When about twelve years of age she became a Christian and united with the Methodist church continuing a member of this church until 1896 when she identified herself with the Christian church where, as long as her health permitted, she was an active worker.

But it was in the home that her greatest work was done, as a loving wife and devoted mother. She was of a cheerful disposition, kind and sympathetic toward all. For several years she was an invalid but bore her suffering with patience. Death released her from these sufferings and her rest will be precious indeed. She leaves a husband, three sons, one daughter and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
