December 15, 1977 , page 12Funeral services for Henry Eugene Saddoris of R.R. 2, Osceola, Iowa, were held Wednesday, December 14, 1977. He died at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines Sunday, December 11. Rev. Roy Ives of the Osceola Christian Church conducted the 1:30 p.m. service from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.
Henry Eugene Saddoris, 70, was born February 22, 1907 in Clarke County, Iowa, the son of Pearl Clay and Elizabeth May Twombley Saddoris. He attended the Clarke County Schools and March 7, 1952 was united in marriage to Nellie Reynolds in Leon, Iowa. He spent his lifetime in Osceola where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the V.F.W. at Osceola and the American Legion Post 405 of Murray, Iowa.
He is survived by two sisters: Leona McNichols of Murray, Iowa and Ruth Mateer of Osceola; five brothers: George A. Saddoris, Osceola; Joe Harrison Saddoris, Oskaloosa; Chester Paul Saddoris, Osceola; Harold Lynn Saddoris, Osceola and Richard Robert Saddoris of Osceola; one step-son, Max Reynolds of Murray; three step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie in 1959; two brothers. Dean and Dale in infancy, two sisters, Henrietta Frances and Rhoda Alice and his parents. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Iowa.
