Marvin Jones, 66, died Monday, March 28, 1977.
Marvin William Jones was born December 2, 1910, in Jamison, Iowa, son of Thomas A. Jones and Fannie Rushing Jones.
He attended schools in Clarke County and on July 11, 1932, was married to Lillian Williams. Seven children were born to this union.
For the past 36 years he was employed as a maintenance worker in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife. Lillian of Osceola; daughter, Betty Wright and husband, Richard of Derby; daughter, Wanda Halterman and husband, Melvin of Des Moines; son, Wesley Jones and wife, Gladys of Redding, Iowa; son, Darrell Jones and wife, Elecha of Spring Hill, Iowa; daughter, Carolyn Brown and husband, Don of Chariton; son, Gary Jones and wife, Pauline of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Linda Keramerer and husband, Ronald of Leon; son, Charles Soper and wife. Marilyn of Osceola; brother, Albert Jones and wife, Lena of Osceola; mother, Fannie Jones of Osceola; sister-in-law, Wilma Wilson of Osceola; 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James and sister, Cora.

Services were held Wednesday, March 30, from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with Pastor
Stanley F. Pedersen of Indianola officiating at the 1:30 p.m. funeral.

Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola.
