With his comrades from Isaac Davis Post of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and member of the local I.O.O.F. Lodge in charge of the services, Lawrence R. Beeman, 53, was buried with full military honors Sunday afternoon. He had served in the navy during the World War.

While he had not been in good health for some time, it was not known that his illness was serious until shortly before his death. He had gone to the Veterans hospital in Des Moines for treatment and there underwent an operation. His weakened system failed to withstand the ordeal and he passed away January 16.
