Duane K. Williams, son of Eugene Williams and Helena J. (Brown) Williams was born August 8, 1932 in Clemons, Iowa and passed from this life Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home in Trenton, Missouri at 82 years of age.

Duane graduated from Union High School, Ellsworth Community College and Drake University. He was a teacher.

Duane was united in marriage to Velma Garr on August 1, 1954 at Union, Iowa and four children blessed this union. Duane taught school in Illinois and then moved the family to Prairie City, Iowa where he taught school for many years. While in Prairie City the family raised turkeys and chickens, they always had a large garden and many fruit trees. Velma and her friends always canned everything and Duane sold the chickens to members of his church. Duane moved his family to Osceola and he began teaching for the I-35 School district in Truro Iowa. He retired on June 1st. 1992 after forty years in teaching. Duane moved to Trenton, Missouri several years ago. He was always a very active member of his church and currently was a member of the First Christian Church in Trenton. He always enjoyed going to basketball games and recently enjoyed the North Central Missouri College Pirates and Lady Pirates games. He enjoyed reading. He was a hard worker and trusted friend to all.

Those relatives who preceded Duane in death were his parents, Eugene and Helena; daughters, Julie Colleen and Merilean Yvonne Williams; wife, Velma; four brothers, Beryl, Gail, Ronald and David Williams; and a sister, Alice Norman.

Duane leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Lyndon Bruce Williams and Richard Eric Williams both of Trenton, MO, sister, Aileen Kirchhoff of Riceville, IA as well as other relatives and friends.
