Died Wednesday

Harold G. Smith, farmer living near New Virginia, died at his home Wednesday. He was 62 years old.

Services will be held at the Webster Funeral Home Saturday, December 21 at 1:30 o'clock with burial at Bethel Chapel cemetery. Rev. Jake Garbison and Rev. Don Callison will officiate.

Mr. Smith was a son of Warren and Sarah Weaklend Smith. He was born in Lucas county on June 18, 1901 but had lived in Clarke county most of his life until 18 years ago when he moved to Warren county.

He was married to Helen Chumbley on January 6, 1932. One son, Lavere, was born to them.

Survivors include his wife, Helen and son, Lavere of Indianola; daughter-in-law, Norma, grandson, Dennis; a sister, Mrs. Opal Powell of Corydon; and two brothers, Howard of Osceola and Donald of Des Moines.
