Emery Harrison Marquis was born November 17, 1899 in Clarke County, Iowa to Calvin C. and Ida Grant Harrison Marquis, and passed away January 12, 1977 at his home in Glendale, California at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 28 days.
He was educated in the Clarke County Schools.
He was a grocery clerk and a veteran of World War II. He was never married.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Nellie Waugh and husband, Roy of Osceola, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Meda Trumbo; and one brother, Freeman Marquis.
A brief Memorial Service was held on Monday, January 17, 1977, 10:30 a. m. in the Webster - Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa with the Reverend Ivan C. Bys, Pastor United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Chapel Cemetery, Clarke County, Iowa.
