Ransom J. Pease

Funeral services for Ransom J. Pease, who died Nov. 10, were conducted from the Webster Funeral Home, Friday, Nov. 12, with Rev. C. C. Miller officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill cemetery.

Ransom John Pease, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Pease was born in Sullivan County, Ind., June 11, 1875 and passed away at his home in Osceola, Nov. 10, 1943 at the age of 68 years, 4 months and 29 days.

He was united in marriage to Florence H.. Trisler, Dec. 22, 1898 and to this union were born two daughters who preceded him in death; Juanita Pease Scott, July 8, 1927 and Fern Andra Pease, June 9, 1919. He was a man who loved his home and took great pride and pleasure in beautifying its surroundings. He was always thinking of something that he could do for the comfort and happiness of those around him.

He united with the Presbyterian church at Crown Chapel in the year 1895. After moving to Osceola he united with the Church of Christ in 1919.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and son-in-law Joseph Scott and one granddaughter, Ferndelene Scott of Kansas City, Mo. Also two brothers, James R. Pease of Bloomfield, and Orson V. Pease of Leon; (one brother, Lou H. Pease preceded him in death in 1936); three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Ryan of Weldon; Mrs. Josie Fletcher of Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Ira Peugh of Riverside, California as well as a number of nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends, He will be sadly missed by all.
