Here Monday

Funeral services for William Zepp, 79, were held from the Webster Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W. M. Brooks of the M. E. church. Interment was made at Jamison.

William Zepp, youngest son of Jacob and Rachel Zepp, was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, May 18, 1854, departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Wiley in Osceola, April 23, 1934, having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 5 days.

He grew to manhood in Pennsylvania and on March 12, 1878 was united in marriage to Sarah Nethercoate. To this union were born 10 children; four of whom preceded him in death. The deceased are: Mable Zepp Edgington, Bessie, Mary and Roy. Mr. Zepp was bereft of his companion May 29, 1901.

The deceased came to Iowa in the year 1882 and located in Jamison, where he resided until 1920, when he moved to Nebraska and located in Mullen. Here he made his home until November 1932, when he came to Osceola and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Wiley.

Mr. Zepp united with the Lutheran church at the age of 17. Later he transferred his membership to the Methodist Episcopal church in Jamison, Iowa and was a faithful worker through the years. He was a kind husband and father, a good neighbor and a loyal friend.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Williamson and Mrs. Edythe Machian of Mullen, Nebraska, and Mrs. Ben Wiley of Osceola, Iowa; three sons, Lester of Omaha, Nebraska, Albert of Osceola, Iowa, and Harvey of Seattle, Washington, 11 grandchildren, three great grandchild and many other relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.
