Thelma Estelle Dove, 83, Osceola, died at the Clarke County Hospital Wednesday, January 18, 1989. Services were at Chapel Hill Gardens in Des Moines Friday, January 20 with the Rev. Neville Clayton of Osceola officiating at the 11 a.m. graveside rites.

Thelma Estelle Dove was born January 27, 1905 in Washington D.C., daughter of John Alfred Trewolla and Lillie Mae Hayes Trewolla. She attended schools in Washington D.C. and on April 8, 1920 was married to Charles Elmer Dove in Maryland. Five children
were bom to this union. She was employed as a telephone switchboard operator at hotels in Des Moines including
the Brown, Savery and Kirkwood hotels. She was affiliated with the First Christian Church of Osceola.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Ralph Dove and wife, Vernetta of Osceola; daughter, Martha K. Overton and husband, Dale D. of West Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; sister, Marion Ione Owens; two brothers, Alfred and Royce; three children, Charles Elmer Dove, Robert Leonard Dove and Lloyd Alvin Dove; and one granddaughter, Kelly.
