Officiated; Burial In Fremont
Held Mason Services

Services for T. A. Patterson, lifelong Washington township farmer, were held from the Webster Funeral home Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 2 o'clock. He died unexpectedly Saturday night after a brief illness. Rev. Lloyd Latta officiated at the service and burial was in Fremont cemetery.

Graveside Masonic services were conducted by Kenneth Mitchell of Leon and Masons from lodge No. 77.

Thomas A. Patterson, son of John H. and Mary E. Patterson was born on a farm in Washington township, Clarke county, Iowa, Dec. 25, 1880 and passed away in a local hospital, early Sunday morning, February 5, 1950 at the age of 69 years, one month and 11 days.

He was united in marriage to Blanche Lowe, April 25, 1903 and to this union two sons were born.

"Tom," as he was affectionately known to his many friends, lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and has always been very active since the time he joined many years ago.

He is survived by his wife and two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. Lester Patterson of Decatur, Illinois and Robert Patterson of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Charley and Merritt of Osceola, besides other relatives and many friends.
