Services Monday

Lifelong Resident of Fremont Vicinity
Died At Home Christmas Day; Long
Illness; Fremont Burial

Funeral services for Mrs. Jack Waters were held Monday afternoon December 29, at the Miller funeral home for Mrs. Jack Waters, life-long resident of the Fremont church neighborhood.

Rev. Lester Hall of the Methodist church officiated. Burial was in Fremont cemetery.

The Obituary:
Malvia Bell, daughter of Isaac and Ada Fouche, was born on a farm in Clarke county, October 14, 1892, and died at her home on Christmas day, December 25, 1952, after a long illness.

She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of the Fremont church, where she attended regularly, and became a member in December 1909, during the ministry of Rev. Tague.

While still a young lady she went to Oakland, California, where she met her husband, Jack Waters. They were married June 15, 1926 at Oakland.

To this union was born one son, Ralph.

After a short time they returned to Iowa and have always lived in Clarke county in the vicinity of her old home.

She was a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and also a

Note: The obituary states her year of birth was 1892 and the headstone is inscribed with the year of birth as 1893.
