Wilma Elaine Smith, the fifth of 13 children and oldest daughter of James Alexander and Winifred Stubbs Wright, was born July 7, 1913, in Warren Township in Lucas County and died Nov. 20, 2000, at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. She was 87.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were Nov. 22 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, the Rev. Don Wright of Creston officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.
