Josephine Lane, 80, Des Moines
Josephine Mary Lane, 80, of Des Moines, died of a kidney ailment April 25, 2000, at home. Services were held April 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member, with burial in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Lane was born in Woodburn and had lived in Des Moines since 1925. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include five daughters, Jackie Wilson of Prairie City, Sharon Sinkey of Las Vegas, Patricia Miller of Des Moines, Donna Matthews of Spokane, Wash., and Rebecca Delpierre-Smith of Dexter; a son, Chuck Scarlett of Runnells; three brothers; a sister; 12 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.
