“Rites Held Sunday For Minne Erb”

“Minnie M. Erb, 64, died at her home near Garden Grove, August 28. Funeral services in charge of the Stewart Funeral home conducted by Miss May Wallace were held at the Friends’ church in Weldon at 2:00 p.m. Sunday with burial in the Friends cemetery.

“We regret to report the passing of Mrs. Minnie Erb Thursday. Funeral services were held in the Friends church Sunday afternoon. We extend our sincerest sympathy to her children.”

“Obituary”

“Minnie Marvella Erb, eldest daughter of Austin and Mary Wallace, was born December 31, 1887, near Weldon, Iowa. She passed away August 23, 1952, at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 28 days.

At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and through her long illness though suffering for several months, she still believed that God’s Way is the best and was ready and willing to. She loved her church work and was very much devoted to it.

On June 25, 1911 she was united in marriage to Otis L. Erb, Weldon, Iowa. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union: Harrisan Wallace, Garden Grove; Everette Austin, Jacksonville, Florida; Mary Louise Coffey, Garden Grove, and Martha Marie Rutledge, Humeston, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her passing her four children, two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, one sister, Mrs. Earl Woods, Paonia, Colorado and one brother, Armanus Wallace, Des Moines, Iowa, also eight grand children and one great grand daughter.

Funeral services in charge of the Stewart Fneral home were held August 31, at Smyrna Friends church, burial at Friends cemetery.
